Think Small

Often times we forget just how small children are. We want them to think like us, see things as we or even do thing we do. Have you ever heard an adult say “go get me ___! Its right there.. Its in front of you….. ITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!!”, while getting up all flustered and ready to get it themselves. We need to put ourselves in our kids level. Lower cabinets and shelves so they can get their own snack and/or shoes. Set up their space so they can be independent, they will thank you for it later! One thing I used to do was to get down on my knees before every school year began. I would walk around on my knees to see if my set up was the best for their success. Sometimes I did have to fix certain areas, they may have looked beautiful to me but they were not practical for the children. The right size furniture and setting can create a space for your kids to thrive in!
